for VOLVO
Globally renowned Swedish car manufacturer, Volvo, wanted to reach a niche market of potential customers—people who have a keen interest in design, art, innovation, technology, and more. The carmaker also wanted to enhance this group’s interest in Scandinavia. To achieve these goals, Volvo embedded a Scandinavian online culture magazine called Fika within the CINRA platform.
Not only was Fika connected to CINRA’s 2.5 million unique monthly users; news about the magazine’s articles were shared on our platform’s Twitter account, thereby reaching over 100,000 followers, and Facebook page, thus connecting to some 40,000 fans. Through the collaboration with CINRA, Fika—which is a startup publication—reached its target audience more effectively than if they had launched a stand-alone owned media platform. Indeed, the new web magazine saw traffic of over 10,000 page views at the very start of the project—thanks to tapping into the CINRA community.

for Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings
When leading retail store owner Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings wanted to rebrand one of its branches, as well as to promote the area in Tokyo surrounding it, they reached out to us—and our CINRA platform. The Isetan Park Net and CINRA collaboration was a remarkable success. The most notable achievement was that both media platforms—CINRA and Isetan Park Net—were able to share readers effectively with each other by publishing mutually complementary content on each website.
One way they did this was when artists went on a day trip around the city and found inspiration along such themes as literature, art, and music. In this case, Isetan Park Net identified which locations they were to visit while CINRA featured interviews of them during the trip. CINRA succeeded in drawing traffic from its platform, many of who are readers that had not shopped at the Isetan Shinjuku Branch before, to the Isetan Park Net website. We also helped to raise awareness of—and interest in—the area of Shinjuku surrounding the Isetan branch.

for OKAYAMA CITY
Recently, the Setouchi Region of Japan, including Okayama City, has been the centre of attention, especially for its renowned festival the Setouchi Triennale—or the Setouchi International Art Festival. Increasing numbers of domestic and international tourists and visitors gather for the event, which is held every three years.
To help promote the city and its offerings, CINRA was tasked with creating a webpage for Okayama City that appeals to inbound visitors. We focused on art and partnered with Mr. Yi Kai Huang, a photographer from Taiwan, one of the target countries for the project. Together, we went on a voyage to discover creative and other attractions that international visitors—rather than Japanese locals—would find most charming about Okayama City. Thanks to social media posts by Mr. Huang (and a coordinator from Taiwan), and the content he shared on the website, the project succeeded in gathering a new audience for the city, especially those from a target country.
